Leave of Absence
A leave of absence is a measure that allows for a temporary and voluntary suspension of the doctoral program.
Lasting one year, it can only be requested once during the course of the thesis.
The start of a leave period must necessarily coincide with the beginning of an academic year.
Procedure:
For any request, the doctoral student must submit to the doctoral school the leave of absence request form along with all the supporting documents required in the form.
The file is then reviewed by the Scientific Council of the doctoral school. If the leave is granted, doctoral students receiving funding related to the thesis must inform their employer so that payments are suspended during the relevant period.
