Since its establishment in 2007 as an independent university training unit, the Doctoral School of Science and Technology (EDST) serves nine faculties of the Lebanese University:

engineering, health, pharmacy, sciences, technology, medicine, dentistry, architecture, and agronomy

It is based on the activities of one center and two research platforms:

• Azm Center for Biotechnology Research – Tripoli.
• Research and Analysis Platform in Environmental Sciences – Hadath.
• Nanotechnology Research Platform – Fanar.

EDST’s priority has always been to train Lebanese doctoral students in science and technology and to prepare them for professional integration. It ensures the rigorous selection of doctoral candidates, the quality of their supervision, and their international openness.
