Dean’s Message

As Dean of the Doctoral School of Science and Technology (EDST) at the Lebanese University (UL), I am honored to present our institution, which, since its establishment in 2007, has been committed to promoting high-quality research across nine faculties: engineering, public health, pharmacy, sciences, technology, medical sciences, dental medicine, fine arts, architecture, and agronomy.

Our mission is to cultivate a strong culture of rigorous and ethical scientific research and innovation, and we strive to provide our doctoral students with high-quality supervision and training, preparing them to become future leaders in academia, industry, and science.

Our extensive network of international partnerships is one of our proudest achievements, with over 140 collaborations established with prestigious institutions in 13 countries, including more than 100 in France alone.

These partnerships enrich our academic environment and offer doctoral students valuable opportunities for international expertise and joint research projects.

EDST has awarded over 840 doctorates, 92% of which are joint degrees, demonstrating our commitment to working with partners around the world.

We are actively working to establish new partnerships with institutions in various countries and to develop research areas that meet the needs of our nation. By combining local and international expertise, we aim to make a real impact on our society.
