Mission

The mission of EDST includes the following points:

• Promoting a culture and rigorous scientific practices based on innovation, development, quality assurance, research ethics, scientific integrity, and respect for intellectual property in the production, transmission, and evaluation of knowledge. These practices cover three main fields: engineering sciences, health sciences, and environmental and agri-food sciences.
• Acquiring research expertise in advanced scientific and technical fields and developing skills in scientific research management to meet the needs of higher education institutions and public and private scientific research centers, as well as the production and service sectors of Lebanese society.
• Strengthening links between the academic world and the scientific research community by engaging doctoral students in research projects and by organizing conferences, workshops, and scientific training.
• Contributing to national development through the transfer of advanced technologies, as well as through the development of studies, plans, and the proposal of solutions within EDST’s fields of expertise.
